What are the benefits of a ketogenic diet?

A ketogenic diet (sometimes called the Keto diet) is a type of weight-control diet most commonly used by diabetics. It’s worth noting that keto makes it easier for people with Type 2 diabetes to lose weight, but it’s not always just weight loss for a keto diet. People who took a keto diet for over a month or had one like it for months and just stopped or lowered the quantities of fat, protein, and carbohydrate in their meals saw an improvement in their blood glucose levels.

Keto didn’t guarantee insulin resistance

Lastly, keto made some people insulin resistant. Currently, keto diet is FDA approved for the treatment of type 2 diabetes. A keto diet can also prevent Type 2 diabetes as well as change glucose in people’s blood. But it might not always guarantee the people who adopted the keto diet glucose will be stable. As the FDA does not approve a keto diet yet, one should remain cautious when it comes to anything being specific to people who have Type 2 diabetes—at least in terms of blood glucose levels.
